THE RODRIGUEZ-TWILLEY WEDDING

Dreaming of a casual, intimate celebration with their closest family and friends around them, Danielle Rodriguez & Rush Twilley searched for the perfect venue in their hometown of San Antonio, Texas. "The sites were gorgeous but did not feel like either of us. I threw out the idea of having a beach wedding...and thankfully, Rush was thrilled." They quickly began their internet search and discovered Pelican Bay Hotel. The photos and real wedding stories sealed the deal. "We read about how pleased past guests were with Marva and could not wait to meet her and use her services." And because of Marva, Danielle was able to plan stress-free and relax, "because Marva took care of everything!"

Gathering at Pelican Bay Hotel over Thanksgiving weekend 2007, Danielle & Rush hosted a dinner feast to welcome everyone and enjoyed quality time with their guests snorkeling, swimming, and taking in all that Pelican Bay has to offer.

After a week of fun in the sun, the weather seemed to not want to cooperate on the morning of the wedding! "I called Marva to ask what we would do about the rain, and her calm reply was "we will just wait for it to stop". She handled all our concerns so efficiently, and even complied with very last minute requests without the blink of an eye." And sure enough, the skies cleared and the winds stopped. "The beach was picture perfect; the sand felt cool under our feet and the air was so still."

Standing under a palm frond archway accented with the hues of her bouquet, Danielle & Rush became husband and wife. For the reception, each table had teal votives with pink bougainvilleas sprinkled against the white tablecloth. Their two-tiered carrot wedding cake was decorated with tropical floral.

"Everything was beyond what we could have imagined. Our guests are STILL talking about the wedding; it gave many of our guests a much needed vacation, something they later thanked us for."
