Nia Bruno Gibson was born in Nassau, Bahamas; she left when she was one year old. When it came time to be married, she knew that she wanted to do so in The Bahamas, while also exposing her husband to a part of The Bahamas neither of them had seen. Thus, her decision to be married at Pelican Bay at Lucaya on Grand Bahama Island.

Nia says her favorite memory of the wedding was walking down the aisle on the stunning secluded Spanish Main beach. She remembered thinking that everything was exactly the way she had envisioned her day. The wind was lightly blowing … the sea was almost an unbelievable blue, and the sun was shining. According to Nia, her day could not have been more perfect. Guests absolutely loved the wedding, especially the bride's mother. Nia's friends said that if they could get married again they would have had a beach wedding. The staff was friendly and helpful, says Nia. Marva was great to deal with. It is really difficult to plan your wedding when you are so far away, but she always put my mind at ease and offered helpful suggestions.
