THE
AMATO-PARIVECHIO WEDDING
Katie Amato & Rodney
Parivechio
Katie Amato and Rodney Parivechio were wed at Pelican Bay at
Lucaya April 21, 2008. Katie, a Human Resources Manager and Rodney, a Sales
Trader from New York City, brought some 45 guests from all areas of the United
States to Grand Bahama Island for a three-day weekend in celebration of their
wedding.
Wedding guests were welcomed at a Rehearsal Dinner at Taino by
the Sea, Taino Beach before indulging in varied water sports activities over
the weekend.
The couple chose Pelican Bay's Water's Edge Gazebo, perched
on Bell Channel Bay, for their marriage ceremony. Bishop Sobig Kemp, a
non-denominational minster, performed the wedding ceremony. Violinist Eva
Ratuszynski played during the ceremony.
Katie's favourite flowers are
orchids. A gorgeous bouquet of purple Dendrobium orchids, white roses, white
mini calla lilies and stephanotis was designed for her by Pelican Bay's
in-house floral designer. These beautiful flowers also adorned the gazebo.
Following the wedding ceremony, guests were squired to Neptune's on the
Bay, Pelican Bay, for a four-hour long outdoor cocktail reception and dinner.
The orchid floral theme was carried through at dinner where tables with white
linens were graced with underwater dendrobium orchid centerpieces; votive
candles and purple Bougainvillea petals highlighted the
centrepieces.
The couple chose a plated two-course sit-down dinner.
Dinner options featured Pan Seared Breast of Chicken w/Guava Glaze, Pepper
Crusted Beef Tenderloin Stuffed with Mushroom Duexelle w/Pineapple jus and Pan
Seared Grouper Fillet w/Tropical Fruit Salsa.
A dessert of red velvet
wedding cake with crème cheese filling and frosting topped off the meal.
DJ Earl Neely kept the bride and groom and guests on the floor as they danced
the evening away under the stars at Pelican Bay at Lucaya.
Photographer
Donna Van Bruening of Savannah, Georgia captured stunningly beautiful images of
the happy couple and guests throughout wedding day. |
