Grand Bahama
Island is unusual in that the infrastructure (roads, water, electricity,
garbage, sewer, etc.) is owned and operated by a private company. As a result,
you will find wide, beautifully landscaped roadways that are well-maintained
and litter-free. The water is safe to drink, with an excellent taste. Even the
beaches are regularly cleaned. For a "Caribbean" island destination, Grand
Bahama truly stands alone.
Grand Bahama
Island has the second largest population in the Islands of The Bahamas.
Freeport/Lucaya was built expressly for tropical fun and is the site of many
beautiful white sand beaches and water activities, as well as Port Lucaya
Marketplace.
Grand Bahama
Island is hard to beat for things to do. Hotels, golf courses, and beaches are
nearby and are superbly equipped. The island can deliver just about every kind
of water sport imaginable scuba diving, windsurfing, parasailing, and
snorkeling, just to name a few.
If you want
to spend your time on other pursuits, there is also a casino, duty-free
shopping at the Port Lucaya Marketplace, and the dining possibilities are
limited only by your imagination. |
